Corey MacGregor, CPA, CA

Corey joined IBV Capital in 2017 and is responsible for the financial and operational aspects of the business. She drives the compliance and regulatory functions and works closely with IBV Capital’s service partners.
Prior to joining IBV Capital, Corey was a Manager in the private funds group at Brookfield Asset Management. At Brookfield, she supported private fund operations and assisted in the launch of new private funds.
Prior to joining Brookfield, Corey was a Senior Associate in the financial services audit group at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). at PwC, she led numerous audit engagements with a focus on the firm’s alternative fund clients.
Corey has a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario, Richard Ivey School of Business. Corey is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant.

Talbot founded IBV Capital and is responsible for portfolio management and setting the firm’s strategic vision.
Talbot has over a decade of value investing experience. In 2010, he was engaged by two highly successful Canadians to form and manage their Family Office. The Family Office experienced tremendous success under his management and, in 2014, Talbot founded IBV Capital and launched IBV Capital Global Value Fund.
Prior to forming the Family Office and founding IBV Capital, Talbot held various positions at institutional real estate firms where he was responsible for investment activities and strategic planning.
Talbot is a CFA Charterholder and earned an Honours Economics and Financial Management degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Thomas Wnuk, CFA

Thomas joined IBV Capital in 2014 and performs investment research and analytics, while also supporting the portfolio management process.
Thomas initially joined IBV Capital in 2013 for an internship and returned full-time in 2014. During the internship Thomas assisted in launching IBV Capital from the Family Office.
Thomas is a CFA Charterholder and earned an Honours Bachelor of Business of Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University with a concentration in Finance.
Thomas is also a Lead Advisor for Junior Achievement’s Company Program.

Arshan Kawasia
Arshan joined IBV Capital in 2022 and is responsible for performing investment research, supporting portfolio management decisions, and assisting in trading activities.
Prior to joining IBV Capital, Arshan was an Investment Associate Trainee at Portland Investment Counsel where he performed investment analysis for both public equity and private debt mandates. Arshan has also completed internships in mergers and acquisitions, equity research, and valuations.
Arshan has a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario, Richard Ivey School of Business and completed Level I of the CFA Program in 2021.

Kris K. Shah

Kris is a co-founder of IBV Capital and serves on the Investment Manager’s Advisory Committee. Kris has over 25 years of experience in building successful businesses including OME Group, a SR&ED tax consulting firm, and Baylis Medical, an international medical device manufacturer.
Kris began his career as an engineer at Northern Telecom, moving on to become Executive Vice President and one of the principals of Baylis Medical. Shortly thereafter, he founded OME Group, later selling the business to Ernst & Young LLC. In 2011, Kris founded a Canadian multi-family office before forming IBV Capital in 2014. Kris is also an active board member for Colibri Technologies, Venture Lab, MEDEC, and HTX.

Andrew J. Papierz

Mr. Papierz has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry, working for investment dealers, clearing agencies and trust companies. Most recently he was an Executive Managing Director of BMO Nesbitt Burns’ in the Financial Products Group, from 2000 – 2012, where he was responsible for all aspects of the prime brokerage and securities lending business. He has also served as Chief Administrative Officer at RBC Dominion Securities in New York, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation, Managing Partner, Securities Operation at Royal Trust Corporation of Canada and Manager, Corporate Trust Service at Central Guaranty Trust Company.
Mr. Papierz currently serves on the board of directors at Copernicus Lodge Foundation and Delisle Youth Services and was a past director at the Canadian Securities Lending Association and Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation. Mr. Papierz completed a B.A. in Economics from York University, an M.B.A. from Queen’s University and a Chartered Director Program from McMaster University.

Brent Walker

Brent is the co-founder and a managing director of Morrison Park Advisors, an independent investment banking firm providing financial advisory services on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance in a wide variety of transaction situations and environments. MPA is focused on providing bespoke, value added financial solutions to public and private companies, not for profit organizations and governments. Prior to starting MPA 15 years ago, Brent was a senior investment banker at Scotia Capital and TD Securities. Brent’s investment banking career has spanned over 25 years and billions of dollars in transaction value. He started his career at Lancaster Financial, the leading mergers and acquisitions boutique in Canada in the 80s and early 90s.
Brent has served on the boards of several organizations, both for profit and not for profit, including as a board chair. Throughout his career he has advised numerous boards and special committees through high pressure and difficult transactional situations.
Brent has an MBA (gold medalist) from McMaster University and an honours B. Sc. in molecular biology from Dalhousie University.
